Class Notes, Week 56: Leap of faith

The Moksha yoga teacher training program requires me to journal once each week about my experience with the poses and assignments + my practice and progress. This is part of that weekly assignment.

I have always loved the Indiana Jones films.  The adventures were epic — and of course, a young Harrison Ford wooing the ladies was pretty swoon-worthy, too.

But there is one particular scene that always resonated with me.  Especially now.

It’s the moment in “Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade” when Indy must traverse an abyss without a bridge or path.  His father’s life depends on it.

It’s a giant leap of faith.

So he stands at the edge …

… places his hand at his heart …

… puts one foot forward …

… then a bridge materializes before him.  Out of nowhere.

I feel like Indiana Jones the moment he encounters this abyss and places his hand to his heart.  Do I have the faith, the courage and the conviction to invite a path to manifest before me?  Or do I turn back, and try to find another route?

I am scared.
